Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Being a student in a school where it is in a border town community is never easy. At this school, more than 90% of students are Latino and more than 90% come from low-income households. Most of our students are able to purchase some supplies, but once the school year continues they use or are missing supplies. This makes them unable to come prepared for school. As teachers, we want to make sure they are successful throughout the school year so we end up spending our own money to buy copy paper, colored pencils, and other supplies for our students.
