My Students

The students in my classroom are creative, enthusiastic and eager to learn. They love to move, love to read and love to be engaged. They come into the classroom each day excited to see me and excited to see what the day is going to teach them. In my classroom, I serve a variety of students and my goal is to provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences. By doing this in a positive way, I am hopeful to instill a love of learning within each one of my students.

My Project

I am jumping into a Guided Math approach in my classroom this year. Over my years, I have learned so much about my students as readers through Guided Reading, but have always used my math time as whole group. This year, I want to know my mathematicians just as well! Meeting with my students in these small groups each day will allow me to push harder and make our learning go deeper. These magnetic 10 frames, sand timers, and dry erase pouches resources will help my teacher table to become a much more engaging environment so that I may reach every student at the level they need to grow as a mathematician.
