My Project

I am so excited to add a soprano xylophone and two recorders to my class instrument pool! We are in dire need of some excellent accompaniment, i.e. xylophones, for our singing, dancing, and notation practice. I create arrangements of folk songs and other children's music which include mallet instruments to help teach rhythm, notation, dynamics, expression, performing, intonation, composition, and instrumental technique among so many other music concepts. Students are given opportunities to accompany their work beginning in Kindergarten and continuing all the way through 6th grade. That has been a boon to engagement and learning in my classroom. Recorders, likewise, provide a myriad of opportunities for not only solo work, but accompaniments as well!

Thank you for helping me purchase a xylophone and recorders to build an ensemble of accompaniment instruments so my students can regularly engage with them.

There is no greater gift in the world than the opportunity to create collaboratively and find joy in the expression of art.
