Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you have a favorite place to read? Is there a spot you like to go, get comfy and relax in order to dive into a great book? In a classroom full of children that place is the carpet.

My school is located in between two major housing projects.

Because of this, my students don't have the same advantages as other children. One thing most of them lack is a space to call their own. A place where they can go to unwind, and lose themselves in the pages of a great book.

My Project

While a classroom carpet isn't going to give children their own private space, it will provide a roomy relaxing spot to read while in school. The literacy center is the focus of a classroom. It's where most lessons take place, and where students go to read. It's important to have a warm, inviting carpet where students want to sit.

By helping us get this new carpet you can help bring new life to our classroom.

You will be providing my students with a colorful, inviting place to read and learn. Thank you in advance!
