Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I have the pleasure of working with 20 wonderful, eager to learn students. They are so happy and so proud of themselves for making it to third grade. Many of the students in this class have a form of a learning disability or are still learning English as a second language. They are so creative, loving and excited to learn. In the first two weeks of school, they have helped each other so much and boosted each other's confidence levels up when the work becomes difficult.

My Project

These magazines will help to improve their reading levels and their experience about the world around them.

In 3rd Grade, students growing brains need something in their hands in order to learn about the world around them.

They only have access to a textbook online, however, we have two student computers for a class of 20 students. They need pictures to reference what they are learning about and need to be able to follow along with their fingers or write on the magazine. How can a child learn in a whole group situation without a book in their hands?

Having Times For Kids and Scholastic in their hands will benefit these wonderful third graders more than anyone will ever know!
