Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from a community that suffers from poverty and they have been affected by many different traumas. Some traumas have left them with nothing. Their joy in coming to school and showing their spirit and pride is huge, and sometimes school is the only place where they can be themselves and feel safe.
The silhouette and heat press will allow my students to make their own school spirit items, and they do have a lot of spirit for their school.
They want to make shirts, team wear, hats, posters, and so much more for so many events that are coming up.
