Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in an I.C.T. classroom in the Bronx. This year this amazing group of students is learning fully remotely. In this classroom setting, both general education students and special education students learn together and from each other. Many of my students have learning disabilities, autism or speech and language impairments.

My students are eager to learn in a distance learning setting.

This year is a little different from the others, but my students are excited to learn this year. Throughout the day my students will participate in several whole class and small group LIVE lessons. I strive to provide my students with all the knowledge I can, with the resources that are available to me.

My Project

All of my students are remote students who are learning exclusively online. Currently I have a nine year old laptop to use that was provided by my school. The laptop currently freezes during live lessons and won't save anymore to the hard drive. My students deserve so much better especially that they have to learn online this year. With a brand new Mac Book Air, I will be better equipped to meet the needs of all my learners. This devise will allow be to be live for the majority of the day with my students. This personal touch of being able to meet virtually everyday for the majority of the day will make all the difference during this difficult time.
