This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My technology students are beginning to work on coding and they sometimes work in a small group collaboratively on the Scratch platform. When they do this and they want to share with each other what they are working on or show steps to another student having difficulty they often have to get up and move around. To help them be more effective in their stem coding activities I would like to set up a sharing screen where the students could share their work to a monitor and they wouldn't have to move around to share their screens. I am also unable to share to their computers, but I would have the ability to share to this computer to demonstrate to them skills needed when they are stuck.

The current devices they have do not allow for them to share with each other as they are under a remote management system so this MacBook would allow them to share their screens to it and it being connected to a monitor they would be able to collaborate in real time.

I hope the addition of this MacBook Pro will allow for my students to grow as coders and collaborators. Additionally I will be able to put programs on this computer that they do not have on their computers so they will be able to further experiment with coding. I hope you'll help make this project come true for them.
