Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We would love a MacBook in occupational therapy (OT) to help with visual motor/integration activities, typing, and overall engagement in activities that we engage in in OT. It is known that computers in during lessons often increase students engagement levels. Additionally, this MacBook will help our students focus and attend to therapeutic activities and can be a vital tool for holding a student's interest in a given topic.

Computers can help students understand the technology they use on a daily basis and therefore understanding how different types of computers work (such as MacBook vs.

Chromebook which the students already use in our school) can make students more confident and capable. Technology is a huge part of our current world and learning about computers in a POSITIVE way can help students become more digitally competent.
