My Students

The majority of my students come from low income households. Many of their parents do not speak English. Most will be the first in their family to graduate high school and eventually college. Students have many roles within their households that hold them back from enjoying after school activities that children should be able to experience. Despite the hardships they face at home, they come to school each day eager to learn and with dreams and aspirations to succeed in their future.

In Virtual Enterprise, students experience a simulated business environment where they are entrepreneurs and business professionals.

Students take on adult like roles and responsibilities that will prepare them for their future. They feel needed and see the effects of effort and hard work.

My Project

Students in the Virtual Enterprise class develop technological and entrepreneurial skills that help them start and manage business ventures. After learning fundamental as well as advanced computer skills ,students create resumes, apply for jobs, and go on interviews.

In order to compete in today's business world, students need the fastest and newest technology out there.

The classroom is converted into a workplace, and students work within their company and departments to create and run a business. With the addition of a brand new laptop, students will be able to interact with other VE firms as well as create catalogs, flyers, and do vital things like payroll, create order forms, and bill customers.
