My Students

My scholars are explorers, creators, and innovators. My students work hard to see what is beyond the words on a page. The classroom serves as their place to learn, grow, and develop a voice. As leaders, they take the time to critically analyze works of art and present their findings in a beautiful fashion of writing.

My Project

Scholars will read an exceptional play created by Shakespeare himself. Macbeth gives scholars the opportunity to see a Tragic Hero fall to his death. The play provides context into the ideology of power dynamics and builds a deeper understanding into characterization. Shakespeare’s ability to use word play in his piece of work also helps scholars build their understanding of words and phrases.

We teach Macbeth with index cards and post-it notes to teach scholars the literary concepts of setting, supernatural elements, plot, universal themes and more.

The themes explored in here apply to the world today. Exposing scholars to classic literature is essential to their academic adventure.
