My Students

My students come to school to learn. They look for and desire to explore, determined to find an experience. They are beginning to understand the wonderful experience a good education can offer!

I teach in a Title I school where 100% of the school receives free lunch.

My students live in a high poverty area. Access to literacy and supplies are key to their success, and such access begins and ends within our school walls. There are many things they will never be able experience in real life that, with your help, I can offer.

Learning to achieve in a safe environment is essential. In order to create that safe environment, I use positive incentives. These items are imperative to give students something to work for, their paycheck in school life. It is with your help that I will be able to continue to inspire achievement through positively reinforcing behaviors!

My Project

My students have limited access to technology. Whatever I can provide for them is what they get. Currently they have access to four classroom computers. It is my goal with the MacBook Air to provide further access to technology and the applications available through Apple.

My goal is to expand my students' technological and mathematical foundation.

This technology will improve my student's ability to work in engaging, fun activities that increases student achievement. It is my goal to develop students that are viable in the workplace through experiences in the classroom. Through these experiences, students will use their knowledge and take it further into their education.
