This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My music students are awesome! Teaching all elective classes allows me to see many students that have a strong desire to be in my class.

Throughout all of my classes and activities, my students show a desire to learn about music and the enjoyment it can create in their lives as well as the lives of those around them.

The connections that music can make between students, their families, and members of the community are hard to quantify. They are, however, long-lasting and impact my students for many years to come.

My Project

As marching band returns to a more normal form, we have come to realize the need for some supplies and accessories.

These supplies will be used during both rehearsals and performances and benefit our marching band throughout the school year.

Instrument lyres are used to hold music during parades and football games. Other supplies, such as batteries and extension cords are needed to run our electronic equipment. In addition, we have realized students are not always prepared to rehearse outdoors. Sunscreen and bug spray are both needed to keep students comfortable and focused during outdoor practices.
