Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a great group of 6th graders new to middle school this year. Many are coming from low income household and homes where English is not the primary language spoken. Some of these kids are experiencing difficulty adapting to the changes of being at a new school with so many new kids. Compiled with the changes in climate, so days with our extreme weather conditions, they just need a place to go during lunch.

I am requesting various arts and crafts supplies, as well as interactive games for my classroom for students tp utilize on days they want to escape the crowds of the quad, come in from the heat or rain, or simply find a safe place where they feel accepted.
