Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We would like to bring the joy of reading to our students through Lunch Book Club! Our goals are to offer students a quiet place to read and relax during lunch. Additionally, we want to build positive literacy skills and engage students in literary discussions. We are reading "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief" to align with the school production that will run in December.

Our students will be joining us during their lunch period, so in the spirit of Percy Jackson, we would love to offer them a blue snack each week.

This will encourage attendance and ensure our students are fueling their bodies and their minds!
