This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students come to my room all day long looking for food and drink. Being able to provide these essentials is something that I have made a part of my role in the building. The support that I have gotten from the donors at Donors Choose has gone beyond the many, many dollars received. The students themselves are aware that much of what they are eating and drinking in my room is donated by people who don’t even know them. This alone makes the satisfaction of it all incredibly powerful. Thank you all for helping make this so.
