My Project

Our school has an Innovation Lab, known as iLab. Here all our students, from PK to 6th grade, learn STEM concepts including how to think creatively and how to problem-solve. They also learn how to design and create.

My project is for supplies to allow students to create and design their own lanterns for Lunar New Year.

My students will print Lunar New Year lantern templates that they will design, incorporating traditional Chinese elements, such as the dragon, with drawings that reflect their own personal interests using simple graphic design software. The pipe cleaners will be used as handles for the lanterns while the wooden wheels and dowels will be used to hang the lanterns.
