My Project

My classroom serves as a support for children with learning differences IE: IEP's and 504 Plans. I provide support and intensive instruction to students in grades K-5.

One strategy I like to use is project-based learning.

My students respond well to this method as it's not something that is able to be used often enough in a homeroom class here due to the sheer size of the classes (30+). Dissecting owl pellets and starfish will add to an upcoming project regarding ocean stewardship.

My goal is to incorporate reading, writing, math, science, and social studies into the project. Students will come away with a unique and better understanding of their own neighborhoods ( we are a low country community in South Carolina). The printer, cart, and interactive notebooks resource will help with organization, IEP composition, and student interactive notebooks. Classroom decor is just that.......to add to our learning space.
