Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am switching grade levels next year and need your help! The majority of my students come from low income families. Students come to school ready to learn and eager to share their experiences and learning with others. Fifth grade is such an important year for growth and development and getting ready for middle school.

My Project

Moving to fifth grade from first grade has created an amazing opportunity for me to inspire my students with a love of reading. My collection of books just needs a more age appropriate update. I want every child that walks through my classroom door to find a book that inspires them to continue reading and continue asking questions. Creating book clubs and a comfortable reading corner are all part of my plan.

The book sets will help spark a love of reading that will hopefully last a lifetime.

Bringing in many different types of books will help all students find something they can be passionate about and hopefully encourage them to never stop reading or learning.
