Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am teaching High School students in a charter school in Yuma, Arizona. To develop the love and skills for science is my main goal as an educator. For the past three years of stay in this school my students and I have developed and achieved a lot. These students are curious and love science.

These students have competed in different Science Fair Competitions and become SUCCESSFUL in spite of lack of advance scientific tools and equipment.

These students are very innovative and passionate about scientific discoveries. In our classroom we used a lot of common household materials on performing our experiments. Through collaborative learning and efforts the learning process in the classroom has always been meaningful and fun. I am so lucky to have these students and I am looking forward for another amazing school year with them!

My Project

As a science teacher it is my main goal to develop the scientific skills and knowledge of my students. Each year we tried our best to make our science class engaging and authentic. However, for this year, we are needing of some laboratory materials for my class. Biology students need to be exposed in different laboratory experiments ranging from cell biology, zoology, botany, biochemistry and anatomy.

The more exposure on laboratory works the better the students perform in science and the more they get engage making the to create AMAZING science projects.

Igniting the love and passion of students towards science is vital for the future of our society. I believe at the younger age we need to start exposing our students to science. Having these laboratory materials in hand will absolutely help my students to better understand the different scientific concepts that we will discuss this school year.
