My Students

During an average day at school, students will use the wireless listening center to strengthen listening skills during work stations and small group times during reading. Students can enjoy listening to quality literature and develop a love of reading.

The school where I work is an urban school with a high poverty rate.

Students are often eager to learn, but come to school lacking basic social, emotional, and academic skills. One of the biggest challenges as an educator is meeting students where they are and making the most of our time together to make the greatest gains. Parents are often willing to help, and technology is a fun and engaging way to reach students and expose them to new opportunities.

My Project

Students will use the wireless listening center to help focus on listening skills, develop a sense of story and love of literature. We will also use the wireless listening center in small groups to listen to stories and practice comprehension skills.

Your donations will help students experience quality literature in school, help develop a love of reading, and also develop a sense of story while building comprehension skills.

Students will work in small groups to listen to literature and retell stories as well as develop story telling skills of their own.
