My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. Each student in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment they learn best vary greatly. They enjoy being around friends and working collaboratively with each other, regardless of the challenges that they face in their daily lives.

My Project

My students are in love with Harry Potter. The students like to read fantasy stories about wizards and villains, especially the Harry Potter series. Since many of my students are learning to English many have express interest in the Harry Potter books. During times that they are finish with classwork they will be able to have their own book to read.

This project allow my students to have their own individual book as I will give it to them as a gift to bring my them into the wonderful world of Harry Potter.

To help students who are struggling in reading to read for fun and begin to be better readers. But I will also use these books to teach them the concepts of mapping skills and have students evaluate various characters’ fears represented by the boggart and build connections between their analyses of the characters’ fears and the students’ own experiences.

My hope is that if I can spark their imagination, the students will be able to learn about how magical stories impact a person's leadership potential, brings community together, and advocates for all people.

The world loves Harry Potter and let's bring this love into my classroom.
