Some days I forget how fresh to the world my younger learners are, UNTIL I read them a good book! The excitement that fills their eyes as they imagine the unimaginable is priceless. Help me introduce my students to a variety of fun and entertaining books as well as informational texts that will support our thematic units throughout the year. Great books are an investment and with your help, I will be able to expose and enrich my class by offering them purposeful information to enhance their learning experience.
Making an investment in valuable texts that include topics like: Science, holidays and celebrations, rhyming, and more makes a long term impact and helps develop a love for learning.
Books such as, "Tops and Bottoms," help students understand the parts of a plant we can eat. "Chickens Aren't the Only Ones," teaches students that birds are not the only egg-laying creatures on our planet. In the fall when we learn about leaves, we will prepare for our own leaf hunt by reading, "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt." Each book I have chosen serves a specific purpose and will be used as a tool to reinforce our specific themes, helping students to connect with the topic and retain information taught.
Thank you for helping us build our library and for making reading a priority all year long!
