Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in California. My classroom supports students with moderate to severe autism and I currently have seven students. Many of my students are also English language learners and most are non-verbal communicators.

The individual needs of my students vary greatly so it is important to have materials and activities that engage them all.

They learn best through the use of pictures, manipulatives, and kinesthetic activities. My students enjoy hands-on materials and are eager to explore new objects.

My Project

The materials in this project all target language and vocabulary acquisition. Your donations will help provide these beautiful books, hands-on activities, and amazingly interactive materials which will get my students motivated to build their language and communication skills. My students love to learn by doing and these items are perfect for them since they can touch and move them as they learn. Since most of my students are minimal to non-verbal communicators, language skills are incredibly important and we would love to put these items to work in helping to build their skills.
