My students are young leaders in a Title 1 school in Staten Island, New York. My students are eager to learn but often times lack materials to help them succeed. My classroom has 30 learners from diverse backgrounds and different educational needs. In our ICT classroom students are able to follow our schools mission and vision by learning through exploration and hands on activities. We are in need of some classroom supplies to help our students further their learning in my classroom.
My Project
This donation will help my students immerse themselves in books that are on the reading level as well as appeal to their interests. Classroom supplies such as large dry erase boards will be used in small group instruction and guided reading groups.
My students come from low income homes and attend a newly established Title 1 school in Staten Island.
Their love and enthusiasm to become active citizens in our community is astounding. With these books, classroom caddies, magnetic letters and other classroom supplies my students will be able to make great academic and personal gains. My classroom houses a variety of learners from different academic and social backgrounds. Though we are different we all share a love for learning and we will use these books and classroom supplies to bring us together.
