My Project

We have had a successful ceramics program for 3 years, and the foremost casualty at this stage is…. The APRON! They are essential to maintain cleanliness for students so they can be comfortable and tidy in a potentially very messy art form. We are down to 12 that can still be used, but they are worn as well. My intention in running art classes is to be efficient with materials and tools, keeping them in good shape and being able to rely on them.

What I am shopping for now are aprons that will hold up to the rigors of the artform, as I found my previous ones to be disappointing in their lack of robustness.

The ones selected appear to be better made, and should stand up with greater reliability. The Artist's Apron in particular is well suited for larger students, of which we have quite a few, and the denim material of the other has a trustworthy track record for being strong. What happens mostly that remove an apron from use is the ties rip and separate, and then the apron cannot be adequately secured.

I feel confident these selections can meet the needs of our ceramics studio, a well-loved and appreciated class where students deserve the best of materials to further their dreams and artistic pursuits.
