My Students

This will be my first year teaching in a Pre-K Center. I love working with younger children. Three-year-olds and Four-year-olds are very inquisitive, and they are not afraid to say what is on their minds.

I know that many of my students will be going to school for the first time.

I know that they will be inquisitive and eager to go to school, but also a little nervous. The Pre-K center that I will be starting in September will be a great place for my students. All the students will be the same age and they will see students who are like them, starting school for the very first time. They won't have to fear the "big kids" walking and looming over them as they walk the halls or running at full speed down the hall.

This will be a great learning environment for these early learners. My goal is to make learning fun and exciting for my students. Parents and family are invited to come to the classrooms for family involvement time. This is one of the most crucial years for growth and having parents be a part of this year is very important.

My Project

My students have family events at least once a month to celebrate the season or holidays. The students will paint and decorate pumpkins for the fall, have a cultural feast in November and a winter festival in December. The backdrops that I am requesting will make the room feel more inviting and coincide with the theme for that month.

Who wants to take photos with chairs and traditional classroom furniture in the background?

These backdrops will give each photo a different feel for the celebration taking place in the classroom. The stand will make sure that the backdrops will stay up and crates will provide a great way for them to sit and look "natural".

Parent involvement in a great aspect of being in Pre-K. My goal is to make it more inviting for parents and their child. Who doesn't love a great photo opportunity? Having parents know that their will be a cool decor will get them to come to the events in the classroom.
