Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a Title I school where many of my students don't have much money. My students are very artistic and would love to express their feelings through art. I want my students to make a personal and creative gift to give their mothers for Mother's Day that doesn't require them to spend any money.

Just because a child doesn't have any money to buy their mom a special gift on their special day does not mean they can't make one.

I want to provide the students the opportunity to use their artistic talents by giving them lots of dried pressed flowers and picture frames to create something special for their mommies, step moms, grandmas, or aunts.
