This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Technology is a game-changer for education. According to the latest surveys,76% of students say that technology makes learning more engaging (EdWeek, “Technology in Schools: A Teacher Survey”, 2023), and 90% of teachers say that technology helps them to assess student learning more effectively. I believe that if our students had a big-screen tv they would be more engaged in their education

One of my goals is to get our students engaged in their learning by leveraging the various senses.

It is important that our students know the importance of physical literacy. Our Physical Education department uses various units to build motor skills and movement patterns. In addition, our five fitness components unit is monitored year-round and all of the units have SEL and ELD integration.

I plan to use this TV to project graphical representations of students' physical fitness progress so that it is visually appealing and can also with a cross-curricular aspect. My students can tap into the STEM facet by finding averages, trends, and outliers, and making inferences about them and their counterparts. They can also see how other classes perform in comparison to theirs.

I firmly believe that a TV will enhance students' engagement in their education by allowing them to progress monitor and expose them to STEM concepts.
