Help me give my students a comfortable, secure, relaxing & safe place to come while at school. In a time of need while they are facing social anxiety/insecurities (hygiene products), hungry(snacks), a calming space (chair/ottoman/rug) to relax.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Even when students are at school, sometimes they feel stressed about social norms such as having a safe place to go in the school building to access hygiene products, snacks or to relax if they are angry of have a bad day.
A place for our students to go to will be in my school counseling office.
I want to present a relaxing and calming environment to help boost students’ self confidence by giving them a comfortable, secure, relaxing and safe place to come to while at school or afterschool. Everyday our students struggle with social anxiety or insecurities requesting hygiene products, snacks(to offset hunger), and a need for a calming space (chair and ottoman/ rug) to relax.
