Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Long Beach Jordan high school is home to approximately 540 seniors. A majority of our students represent low-income, marginalized communities and are the first in their families to pursue higher education. In May, we will be celebrating the graduating seniors by hosting a Decision Day event- filled with games, foods, music, and prizes! At this event, students will be committing to their colleges and universities. We are asking for any donations for the prizes.
Prizes such as microwaves, fridges, and other items will help alleviate costs for our students that otherwise would go unmet.
We selected prize items that would be needed for college and dorm life. Thank you all for pouring into their education.
