Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This will allow the students to care for living things, which can help them develop a sense of stewardship and respect for the needs of others. Students will develop skills of observation and comparison and be exposed to nature and science. This could peek their interest in the field of science.

Help me give my students a classroom that is nurturing to plants and animals with fish tank and plants.

A pet brings increased sensitivity and awareness of the feelings and needs of others—both animals and humans. Kids learn that all living things need more than just food and water for survival. The students will observe and care for an animal which will instill a sense of responsibility and respect for life.

The fourth grade class will show a sense of responsibility by caring for the living creatures
