My Project

My students are an amazing group of natural scientists. They are curious, observant, and great questioners. They love learning about new plants and caring for them.

Students must be exposed to living things if we hope for them to feel connected to our world, to build compassion, and to care for the environment.

Having a wide variety of plants, including tropical foliage, flowering bulbs, and succulents grabs their attention, sparks their curiosity, and brings more life - and fresh air - into our classroom!

Students love to look closely, compare, meaure, and touch our class plants. Children seem to relax in the presence of smaller living things, and they express their nurturing instincts through classroom plant observation and care. Tending plants builds responsibility and appreciation.

Growing a lush classroom garden makes our learning space more engaging, more peaceful, and more beautiful.
