My Project

The students in my class are young adults diagnosed with Autism, Intellecutal Disabilities and Down Syndrome. They are working towards becoming independent teenagers and adults. They are eager to learn life skills to guide them on their way to independence despite their academic challenges.

My students are working to learn life skills to prepare for their future such as cooking, shopping, hygiene, money skills and vocational skills.

These materials will help my students practice these skills to be as independent as possible when they are adults.

By having access to Teacher's Pay Teachers materials, we will be able to supplement our existing curriculum and learn valuable life skills. Our students thrive on repetition and practice, these materials will allow the students to learn together in the classroom and then apply them in the community and their home life.
