This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please give my students the opportunity to give back to their community, a wish that they would love to fulfill as they're subjected to economic and food insecurities on a daily basis. These teens have grown up in a community that was hit hardest from the Covid19 virus, a community that still cannot recover.
As a class, we will be traveling to the local church where we can serve food to food insecure individuals and we would love the opportunity to also provide them care packages that can support their hygiene, as they're traveling from place to place looking for shelter.
Our packages will include basic necessities that one would need; for example, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, combs, and body wipes.
