My Students

Do you remember how much fun is to learn math through hands-on activities? Kindergarten is when most students have their first introduction to math. In order to support and inspire my students, I need materials that engage as they become mathematicians.

n our school, 57% of the students receive free or reduced price meals.

I have 24 kindergartners who are eager to learn. For many of my students, kindergarten is their first school experience. I want to create a school environment that fosters their curiosity and love of learning.

My Project

I would like to have fruit counters and math trays, so my students can use them to sort, count, make patterns, graph and compare. I also need the "Meet the Common Core Math Standards Learning Center" which provides activities for every Common Core math standard for kindergarten. It would also be wonderful to have a set of "Pop and Add" math games and "Solve & Slide Math Activity Boards", so my students can solve math problems as they are having fun.

Math centers make it fun to learn math.

If students are enjoying learning, they will be more engaged and have better retention of the concepts. I hope that this will help instill in them a lifetime love for learning.
