My Project

Please consider helping us transform our school counseling student lounge! This year we have an amazing new (and empty) space for students to utilize throughout the day. Whether they need a quiet space to work or a break in their day, we hope our lounge can provide the calm space our students deserve!

I want our school counseling office to be a safe space and a refuge for students to come to when they are experiencing strong emotions, family or social conflicts, or any uncertainties.

It will also serve as a place for counseling small groups to meet. Many of my students crave familiarity and consistency, especially if they are lacking it in other aspects of their lives. I want to be able to provide our students with the little things that will make their days a little easier.

Even the big kids love toys and fidgets. It eases their minds to color and take some quiet time away from the busy school atmosphere. Low lighting is key to creating a relaxing space and the little lamps will do just that. Hard candy is another favorite. Journals are always something students ask for to use as a healthy coping tool. It's truly the little things that can go a long way for our students. We appreciate you considering donating to help us supply them with what they need to have better days at school!
