My Students

My students are an incredible group of energetic First Graders who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our class is composed of eight students, each with unique academic, social, emotional and sensory needs. In order to touch on each student's needs, it is imperative that I construct and tailor individualized lessons/activities.

My students are passionate about reading and learning new things.

With this new technology, I will be able to meet their needs while keeping things fun and interesting!

My Project

All of my students have an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis and each have different academic, physical, social, emotional and sensory needs. The term "spectrum" reflects the wide variation of challenges these students experience.

My students absolutely love using technology and having these Kindle Fire Tablets will greatly enhance their learning experience.

With these electronic devices, my students will be able to read books, research topics they are interested in, watch educational videos, write and work on their math fluency. I will also be able to use the tablets to track student growth. Rigor in the classroom depends on proper technology and assessment tools. Technology is the way of today’s world.
