My Students

My students are all from low income families. Most of them live in an apartment with their extended family or another family. Some of my students have both parents working that they are left under the care of another sibling or a grandparent. The wifi provided by the school is not strong enough that most of them are booted out numerous times during our zoom meeting. Not having the school materials they need at home is one of the problems, amongst others, that will hinder them from thriving in this challenging school year.

My Project

I need your help in providing some basic distance learning materials for this coming school year. Our district decided to do remote learning for this school year. They need basic materials like notebooks, pencils, pens, writing paper, white boards, crayons, and watercolor so that they can start the new year comfortably. It is also helpful to have plastic folders so that they can do their daily math practice of skip counting and basic math inserted in sheet protectors. To be organized, they need pencil boxes and a container to keep their textbooks and belongings in one place. In addition, it is also necessary for them to have their own headphones so that they can listen better during class.

Prepared or not, learning must go on for the future of America.

I appreciate your help in being part of our village.

Each student will have their own container with their textbooks and school materials so that they only have one place to check daily for school materials. When they spend the time with their other parent or caregiver, they can easily grab the container with their school materials to go with them.
