My Project

As the new Literacy Coordinator and a Peer Collaborative Teacher at my school I get to support not only my 8th grade scholars but students in grades K-8. We are currently planning and preparing for our annual Character Day where scholars and teachers will celebrate all things books and book characters. Character Day is a day where students get to dress up as their favorite book character and meet real life authors. During author talks and readings our scholars will learn about the writing process and how writers develop characters.

This year we would like our early childhood scholars to get their very own copy of Dr. Liz's book, Little Lizzie Learns to Read!

Dr. Liz will be sharing her experience as a principal, writer, and learner. She will read from her book and be dressed as the protagonist, Little Lizzie! We are so excited to have Dr. Liz visit and we want our scholars to have their own copy of Little Lizzie Learns to Read as part of their reading journey.
