Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, we celebrate often! Throughout the year, we celebrate many holidays and birthdays. Because of this project, all of my students will receive small gifts and cards on special occasions.

Prizes are a big deal in first grade!

Do you remember the excitement of visiting the treasure box when you were young? My students' excitement is unmatched on prize days. I have selected various prizes such as fun pens, fidget toys, match box cars, and slime that are sure to thrill every child. These prizes will be used to celebrate students' accomplishments, hard work, and positive behavior.

Sometimes prizes are the extra bit of motivation that students need to put forth their best effort during reading time or in small groups. Even though they're small items, these prizes can make a big impact on my readers' growth.
