My Students

As an educator, I am always looking for new and lasting ways to keep my students engaged in their learning. One way I think I can accomplish this goal is to have a personal classroom laminator to laminate small group games, task cards, and student work for display in and out of the classroom.

My students are incredible!

I have 8 motivated students eager to learn. My students are diagnosed with a variety of disabilities including: intellectually disabled, speech and language impaired, learning disabled, and autistic. My students come from a low socioeconomic background with limited resources available. We are a Title 1 school with a 100% free lunch program. Many parents work 2 jobs and are barely able to support the family. I know that if we provide them with the right support, resources, and opportunities, they can experience success.

My Project

This laminator and the lamination sheets are going to greatly benefit my students. It will make their materials sturdy and long lasting. This laminator will contribute to all areas of their learning including: math, language arts, science, art and daily living. Their learning materials will be much more sturdy and durable. Throughout the day we go through several manipulative's and when they aren't laminated they just don't last as long. I would also be able to print and laminate student work.

This project is going to greatly help our classroom.

Our manipulative's and icons will last much longer. My students will benefit from this laminator across all subjects and it will be in use every day. I think its important for students to see their work on display and preserved for later sharing and memories.
