My Students

Worrying about food, money, transportation, and clothing are adult worries, yet many of the students at my school face these "grown-up" problems each day. In spite of the challenges they face, my students constantly rise to the occasion and frequently blow me away with their ability to learn.

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Some have and some do not. It is my job to level their playing field so that all have a chance to be successful. Through hands-on, exciting and active assessment, all students in my second grade, inner-city classroom prove themselves time and time again.

My Project

My students are fantastic readers. They devour every book in the room. I try to keep books that they like constantly available for the reading pleasure. We have a great classroom library, but recently I have seen that students LOVE a certain series that I need more of. The Little Miss and Mr. series by Roger Hargreaves is a GREAT set to have in a 2nd grade classroom. I remember reading these books when I was little. Now they are making a huge comeback with my students. Help me get this set of fun books for my awesome 2nd graders!

My kids are the best!

They deserve the best in every aspect of life, especially in their education. Help me to help them achieve their best by partnering with me to get them these needed items for our classroom.
