This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the best job in the world because I get to work with 4-5-year-olds from diverse backgrounds in a neighborhood public school pre-K classroom. Some of my students have never been to school before. They've been taken care of by well-meaning family members but lack school readiness skills such as fine motor, socialization, basic mathematics, and exposure to science and technology. It concerns me when students arrive at my door without the age-appropriate vocabulary to express their wants and needs.

My Project

We need new storage for our STEM manipulatives in our classroom. Our current storage units are very old and falling apart. They are showing their years from being exposed to moisture and everyday preschool life for over the past 20 years if not more.

The Heavy-Duty Fold & Roll Storage unit would be the perfect storage system to store the different STEM manipulatives that the children use on a daily basis.

This system has several big compartments to keep supplies at a 4 year old's reach. It is on wheels which will make it easy to move for Pre-K shows and to push to the side for summer cleaning. This storage system folds which makes it easy to move anywhere while keeping our STEM manipulatives safe.
