Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am lucky to still have the opportunity to teach my students remotely. They are in a Pre-K ICT classroom. They all have different learning styles which calls for a lot of differentiated instruction. They come from a low income neighborhood and do not always come to school ready to learn. I help them feel safe and heard in my classroom. Their opinions matter in how they learn and what they want to learn. They enjoy exploring different materials through play. For most of them, in school is their only time to explore play.

My Project

My goal is to help my students get ready for kindergarten! I already see the love for literacy in my students. My students love visiting the literacy center in my classroom. Maintaining this center is one of my priorities!

Learning literacy through hands on centers will benefit all different types of learners in my classroom.

As we all know, young children learn best through hands on learning. Using these materials will help children get the differentiated learning experience that they need and deserve.

Having crayons organized, enough materials for each student and different styled literacy games for my students will help build their foundational literacy skills that will last a lifetime. Thank you for taking time to check out my project!
