My Students

I work with children with a variety of special needs including Down Syndrome, ADHD, ED, Autism and other health impairments. In addition, I work in a very low-income area in which most of my kids are in and out of the system. Some of my students are in and out of shelters and foster homes.

Although all of my students face very difficult challenges, they always come to school with smiles, ready to work and eager to learn.

They look forward to the adventures I can provide through my creative, out of the box teaching style. It is my mission to make sure my students are given every opportunity available to grow and be their very best. The best part of my job is no matter what my kids are personally going through they know that my class is their safe place to be who they are and grow.

My Project

Our little ones need your help to ensure they have a safe place to grow and learn! Many of our materials during Covid-19 were destroyed and as our little ones enter the classroom are in great need of materials to ensure a safe and appropriate environment to thrive in. This is their first experience entering a classroom.

We are requesting appropriate chairs to fit our preschool students that are safe for them and can easily be disinfected.

Additionally, we are requesting puzzles and manipulatives to engage learning and further understanding. Each item requested was carefully requested to ensure our students fulfill their basic needs within a classroom. Please help me provide this environment for them.
