Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Pre-k is often times the first school experience for little learners. Children are entering a new environment with unfamiliar faces that can create a sense of uneasiness. Once children feel a sense of security and belonging they are more likely to explore their environment and all the learning resources available to them.

The items being requested in this project will go towards making my classroom a warm, welcoming and cozy environment.

The couch, bookstand/storage and toys will provide my children with a place to engage with their peers and explore their early literacy skills.

My goal for this project is to allow my students to begin taking ownership of their learning and make connections with their peers through play-based learning.
