My Project

My students are from a small rural town. The majority of people living there are associated with the logging industry and/or trucking industry. Other parents must travel out of town for work as there are only a handful of places of employment in town. There are very few opportunities or chances for advancement.

The economic status of my student's parents requires that they spend the majority of their hard-earned paychecks providing their families with basic necessities, (housing and food), so there is usually little to no money left over to purchase the needed school supplies for their children.

Luckily, this does not stifle my students' excitement and love for learning. There is never a lack of questions and wonder about the world around them even though many of my little ones have never even been able to venture outside of their small town. They are truly a blessing!

The glue sticks, construction paper, feathers, and pipe cleaners will be used to complete crafts and projects where little hands can be creative while learning grade level standards. The laminating pouches will be used to laminate Christmas ornaments, Mother's Day gifts, and other keepsakes.

Fostering a student's creativity while learning is a proven way to ensure the content taught is meaningful and relatable to children's lives. Your generous donation is life changing in the lives of my students!
