My students need hands-on learning activities that continue to help them find the fun in learning each and every day!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Robbins's classroom raised $781

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are an inclusive classroom servicing both general and special education students. Our students are truly amazing. We are a Title I school with 90% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch, meaning their family income is below the poverty line. Many of our students are English Language Learners.
With their little hands, big hearts and even bigger minds our students are truly the center of our classroom.
Together with the support of our community, our school continues to brighten their futures and provide them with a safe and warm learning environment each and every day!
My Project
As the Chinese proverb says " Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand". Our goal of this project is to do just that- involve our students in their own learning. We are hoping to provide them with hands on learning materials and supplies to keep their ever growing minds engaged all day long. This project includes a child sized pocket chart and white board stand to allow children to be their own teachers and guid their own word study centers. Pocket charts, magnetic timers and wiki sticks allow them to manipulate words and ideas to help engage all types of learners. We have also included many kinesthetic activities such as play doh and sensory toys to keep students on task and focused while learning. Lastly, we have included choice time activities to increase social interactions among our first graders to not only build on their academic skills but their social skills as well.
We are looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, laughter and many incredible hands on experiences.
However, we need your help to get the supplies that we need into the hands of our students. Your donations will not only put smiles on the faces of eager first graders, but will allow them to develop academically and socially as well as put an emphasis on creativity and independence as we explore all the wonders of first grade!
