My Project
My goal is to provide my school community with a Little Free Library placed outside of our school. The Little Free Library will be stocked with books for students to take and/or exchange with their personal books. This will be an excellent way for books to be recycled and to continuously add fresh new titles into the hands of students.
Our school is considered a low income school, so a lot of the time, books are not in the budget for parents to purchase.
Having a local Little Free Library will allow parents to bring their kids to the school to exchange or grab needed books to read with their children or independently.
My goal as the reading teacher is to get more students reading outside of school to better increase their vocabulary, background knowledge and reading skills.
